Hi Guys,

Another good turn out of players for the league this week with there being 18 players who played, and then another 10 public players arriving shortley afterwards, making the evening a full house. Nice to see Phantom again, and to see him still playing zone a little.

I had some good games through out the evening, thanks to every one who turned up.

It wasn't a bad night, but I was a little disappointed by the types of games we played, and correct me if I'm wrong, members nights is where members get to play each other, not the public. I was also a little saddened by the fact that public players just walk in and come to members night not really giving us the same competition we are used to. I understand the business point of view and Ian would be in the wrong to turn them away, but its not something I look forward too if it happens every Sunday...

I liked the night its a pitty i only got to play 2 games but i new i was not going to do good becuse of me not being able to move about so good.

Imight come back and play pool with u lot as am much better at it really as Raider knows,Becky liked Megazone i think she do well if she had a bit more pratice really.

I wish I could come back and play more offen but iv have to say that would be a bit mad of me really the way i am at the moment.

Its a tricky topic diablos.

Its possible some may return over time and become proper members, but every one has to start somewhere, though i started at members night after i had a membership at leicester. The main problem i see when we have beginner players starting at members night in high numbers, is that playing games like base flags, or games like AVP2006 are hard for them to understand & enjoy, along with the basic rules. I caught one guy standing on the wall at the back of the arena, with his head nearly touching the sealing, shooting every one. I told him it was a good idea, but that it was not allowed, and that the manager was in the game also, and that he will ban him on site, so he quickly got down and there was no problem.

Thing is diablos if members come to members night, they still might not be able to give you the competition you may expect from deadman, firestarter, lamby, me & rocky, though slowly they will hopefully get better.

As i say its a tricky topic, but try not to get put off.



Shame it was a team game you played in Phantom, as i never sore you much, since i was keeping my team on track, while defending the base with Rickster.

Yeah we had some good games of pool on the large tables after zone, thanks to you Phantom.

If Becky starts playing at members night, we will have three female zone players at members night.

Yeah your probably best to take it steady, as its not best to aggravate any medical conditions.

Well Becky has been talking to me about going back to M z but ill have to think about it really as its not good

for me at the moment as i have other things to do in the week , I dont minde come once or twice a moth but

am mailny in to my art really or playing pool.

yeah, the thing I get put off by is the groups of people that come to members night that are pretty much off the street and dont exactly have any caring for it being members night, but on the other hand it means that MZ lose cash if they turn away large groups, just because its members night.

Does Becky want to come to MZ with you Steve....or does she just want a couple of hours with her girlie mates?
