It seems like Megazone is now finding MZ-UK.com more of a handful than they would like, after forum users have started biting the hand that endoreses the site, and effecting megazone's business. Forum restrictions, Hmmmm, lol.

If any one wants to moan about Megazone, your welcome to do it here at megazone uk, so its contained better.

I thinks its more of a case that diablos is a bit peeved about members nights begin canceled, Mainly with the new members becoming abusive, tournaments taking far to much time and offensive forum comments have all combined and the management and staff have decided that for the time being there is no point running a members night that new members can not feel welcomed into.
R4IDER
Haha, is that "Tumble weed rolls across the ground......." not the same all across the uk when it comes to the megazone scene, lol. In fact if it was not for Lamby & Scarecrow posting not stop 24/7 on the mz-uk forum there would be nothing to check, though its like an eclipse when it comes to topics actully relating to megazone being posted on there. laugh.gif

Chaos, all the tournement awards came ingraved unlike yours, so i guess when it comes down to tournaments apparently taking to long, it is because your tournament were always done half assed, with nothing really to show for it at the end, like the regional 06. wink.gif

For the time being, hmmm. Well it might be for the time being, but the manager has officially commented on members evening being stopped, stating that he wont be bringing them back on a sunday, so if he brings members evening back on sunday, time will tell.

I don't see Leicester Megazone wanting any more members welcomed in, though that was the offical comment from the leicester manager, relating to attracting new members, though he might not have been serious at the time.

lol, shame that i actualy have your medal here, but you ovbouslt dont want it cus its 'half assed'

Actualy most people seemed to prefer the printed look to the engraved one, But generaly its a matter of cost, when you have the amount of medals and trophies we had, the cost soon stacks up, Which means the price of the regionals would have had to go up. but being the person i am, i wanted to get the price of the event down as low as i could.

I wouldent say it was half assed tho, it took a lot of my time to print cut and glue things. It took me much longer to do that than picking up some engraved ones.

and with all-nighters i only ever run one tournament, i normaly left it up to you, pete, mike etc, so maybe i was half assed not to run it myself, But my main concern was allways to let the non members have plenty of non tourny games etc.
R4IDER
Well Paul, since you decided you wouldn't leave it with the captain like i suggested when you asked me by txt, Firestarter the captain of the team, kindly gave me his medal, as he had recieved a plaque or trophie for the captain of the winning team as well. Yes it was half assed, because it cost you £1.10 and you didn't even bother to get it ingraved. wink.gif

Regarding you also bought the trophies for the all-nighters you organised, and you didn't get them ingraved either, so it just shows your events were half assed.

When it came down to my two months of leagues, i had run the league which was 4 weeks one month & five weeks on the other, followed by getting my certificates printed some where, signed by the manager at leicester, and order the trophies which were good quality with personal ingraving, thanks to the manager at leicester megazone endorsing the league with funding.

Your regionals don't even have detailed results to show what happened at the regionals, so only the people there know what happened, where as my league had games results & stats for the whole month. Your trophies are plain, so only the person who won it knows what it is for.

So while it was a success since you actully held the event, that was the highlight of the whole event. laugh.gif

Got permission to use the trademarked name of Megazone in your url have you Dave?
chaos
Dave, get some BEEP!!! facts before you make assumptions, Ive never brought trophies for anything, especialy all-nighters, megazone has allways done so. Megazone also brought the trophies for the regionals and we split the cost between me and megazone.

The medals alone cost 25 pounds and to get them engraved would almost triple that cost.

Trophies are a different matter. and megazone and myself agreed to use a printed method so we could get the zone logo on there and to cut total costs of the event, we could fit more letters onto them that way. that way people would know what there medals were actualy for.

I brought the medal here with me because i thought it more apropriate for me to give it you personaly. but you refused to answer my pm's then again after you pissed guardian off using up his internet the previous year. and generaly pissing everyone else off over here it comes as no suprise that the internet was hard to come by.

I never got round to putting on the second leg restults because a website dedicated to them was in the making by graham. You see I have a life and im a very busy person, and i dont need to use tax payers money to fund my life.

Maybe you think my things were half assed, but at least i dont live a half assed life.
R4IDER
How many medals did you buy, because 18 medals comes up to £22.50 at £1.25 each, as i can see them in the trophie caterlog.

Your right, i should know better when it comes down to medal costs adding up, as ive done a few medals my self in the last few weeks, and the ingraving costs sure does add up, specially if your ordering them to the number that you needed. I have to admit i forgot you had 6 medals per team, with medals for three teams, but maybe you should have made every one pay £15:00 per person per event, giving you more flexibility on awards.

The zone sticker does look pretty cool, and that alone probably helps to make the award memorible for me.

As for you bringing my medal to australia, i asked you gratefully to leave it with the captain, as i didn't think we would cross paths, but you brought it any way. It would seem your way off on the facts your self Paul, regarding why I didn't recieve your private message until later on, but i always had internet thankfully in the locations i was staying at, including within nats week, thanks to the site owner Andrew Larkin supplying internet for the regional players to use for free.

group hug anyone?

Can you see many ppl entering at £15/head?

I actualy brought 8 medals per team, so the reserves could have there medals aswell.

I would liked to have charged more, but although most members at leiccy could proberbly afford that, wellingborough was a different matter, with most kids relying on pocket money etc. The cheeper the event the more likly more people could join in.

Indead the whole bringing the medal to oz was a mistake on my part. And also at the time i was very busy working my notice in my last job and getting ready to move to aus. so a lot of things on my mind aswell.

Boys, Boys, i do have other priorites & commitments in life.

It would seem me and Paul mutally worked our differences out, since why butt head's when there is no need. Who said any one lost, it just got to the point, where by every one had said there peice, and the disagreements seemed to have been resolved.

Seems you guys are just keen on making disagreements.

Seems your also making assumptions about me Dan, since what am i being arrogant about, and then what am i being ungrateful about ? I don't have GOD spelt across my forhead, thankfully, but hey im not an angel, just a human.
