Deadman Says: Why do you guys care? You will only slate it when it arrives.

You guys hate change, live with it.

I have to admit ive not always found the changes that megazone members have had to live with so possitive, so why would megazone members welcome it. Maybe when the new system arrives, ill give it a fare evaluation, then ill praise it like i should, or maybe slate it as a stereotyped member is suppost to. wink.gif

Its not like we know anything about it, so its not like i can fairly comment for the moment. smile.gif

Well ive played on nexus with the prototype packs, there pretty funky, but a lot difference. altho each sensor has its own processor so in general its reactioin is much quicker. Altho bare in mind that its still radio. Ovbously im coding the games to be as fast as possible. but its speed is still limited by the radio connection.

when we install at frankston will i get to truly gage how effecient it is.

But also bare in mind this product is aimed at FEC's same as T1/Phazor Strike

I don't believe it... Your saying each sensor cluster has its own processor ?

In previous designed zone systems, they always had just one microcontroller for all the sensor clusters, with a single input line per sensor cluster.

Well each array of recievers has its own microprocessor which is essentialy a slave, and in lamans terms thats each sensor has a processor. Im not going to go into tech details tho beyond that tho as you will understand with various things i have signed.

I know its possible, I'm just suprised that it might be used for the new system. I always thought it might be a good idea to have each sensor cluster to its own processor or more a microprocessor, by maybe using 12C bus or something similar.

Sore the images you added up to the other forum, and it looks like the new system shoulders wont be that easy to tag from the back, though i suppose that would depend on the tag angle, and whether the shoulders are like they seem in the image.

Got to admit i miss the old plastic designs from the front and back, as they were well known zone style for the last 10 years. The life reserve style vest is interesting, whats the maximum sized person would it fit ?

Well the shoulders are only ment to be tagged on the front, not the back, with this FEC version there are only seen as front and back sensors, more will become clear over the next year to you. but for me i cant realy go into any more details on sensor areas.

Each target on the pack tho has true color LED's and its own vibrator, which is pretty cool smile.gif
