Yeah your right System T had similar server software to system Z, so i wouldn't be suprised if they had the same handicap system, though im not sure if System T had the same player class handicaps as System Z, though its possible if they had the same scoresets.
On System Z the different classes were:
Class 0 = Non-Members
Class 1 = Defender Button, also known as the bunny button, since it gave more score advantages than class 0, and was used sometime for the really weak players.
Class 2 = AA members
Class 3 = RPG Members.
Some big differences when the solo scoreset 3 handicap system was in use, and it really made a challenge for members in public games, so much infact that most members came out with 0 or minus scores. The level 0 players made alot more score for tagging AA & RPG members, they lost nothing when they were hit, where as the AA & RPG members made far less for tagging class 0 players, and lost a lot more than normal when they were tagged by class 0 players.

That sounds about right Dave...except that the server software from Z to T changed dramatically....the idea was the same but the execution ws different if I recall...Ch@os would be able to confirm that though.

Actually the Rayleigh handicap party system was designed by our own technical guy...and you cant have seen our system because if you were at rayleigh 6 years back then you wont have seen the system considering it hasnt even been up for a year..
Well let's put it like this Assassin...you haven't got T2...cos I'd know if you had. You won't have gone back to an older system....cos who does. The only option that you could have for a newer system would be T1A, which is identical to T1 in hardware, but has the Acacia FEC software with it.....which is identical to the system used at Star City in Birmingham, managed by a close personal friend of mine. Although I beleive that you recently acquired some new PC's. This is what makes me think that you must be running T1A atm.
The handicap system is integrated into the software from the word go. Designing it and activating it are hardly the same. The only difference I can see is that the handicap system that you are using is tweaked to make it MUCH harder for members to win games...which leads me nicely onto...
