Full Version: Jumper Huggers!

Jumper Huggers are players who need to wear jumpers or long armed clothing, so that they can cover there front sensors easier to give them an edge. This has got to be the lamest style of play in uk zone scene right now, and any member playing with a jumper or long armed t-shirt after six months, should be playing with the under 12's because they oviously are to weak to play without jumpers or long sleved clothing.

Jumper Huggers, Lamest of the Lame.

Um, with the temprature of most arenas around the UK at this time of year, i wear a jumper, I wear a jumper because it is cold for at least the first couple of games! but dont worry as soon as it gets warmer i will switch back to t-shirts, i hate wearing anything long sleaved any how.
Deadman
its only clothing ... if you were a good player youd be able to get around it wink.gif
Scarecrow
I guess that if skill is directly propertional to clothing...I best start playing in the nuddie to match my true skill level.....but seeing as I can only be bothered to bugger about now-a-days....I'll stick to keeping warm and strolling around the arena making stupid poses and having convo's thnx very much smile.gif
Deadman
Plus you can control peoples movements in the arena's but not there clothes raider...

Maybe a dictorship would be easy for you ... try Mr Bush he'll help you out..
How to control people but fail

I have to admit its cold out right now, and it feels colder than i remember in previous years, but its not just jumpers im talking about alone, but how people use them with there arms, and jumpers do make it easier to block shots, thats why t-shirts are the main clothing in the aussy nats. Also they where shoes, underwear, shorts & socks to go with the t-shirts, not jumpers. smile.gif

Scarecrow keep at least your trousers on, or i will call you a streaker lemming. wink.gif

Waahaaaaa!

In melbourne it was cold cold cold wink.gif when i was there, and i did not see any one wearing jumper or long armed t-shirt in a game at the box hill league night. Acocks green have been making it customary for no jumpers to be warn in the game for a long while now, and most of leicester's regular members don't wear a jumper, and same could be said for most Derby members when they play in a game.

Deadman what you think, a nude members evening. wink.gif
Scarecrow
nude members night....that'd be scary.....but we could get a few biatches in and see what happens.
We WERE gonna have a stripper on one Members Night...but some 7yo signed up for the event...so that screwed that sad.gif
Anima
mwah hah hah hah hah haaaaa nude members night? holy shite are you kidding yourselves? I'd be the king of blinding you all! pmsl it'd be like watching sausage and mash being crammed in your faces!!

ok i doubt im that fat, I may be chunky but im not all fat - just my belly...., maybe i should start exercising.... pff naaa whats the point...

!!NOTE!!
Dave! I have a revelation for you!! no matter how long fish or robin's sleeves are or how many times ian puts his pack around his body or between his legs there still two things that are damn hard to hide and they tend not to be hidden at all!

GUNS (ahem im sorry correct terminology...) PHASORS AND SHOULDERS!!!

stop moaning and start aiming man lol if i can manage it 90% of the time im sure you can....

although doing that does tend to lead to me being sworn at or cat called at by the person ive just shot... or in ian's case dry humped or something similar...
R4IDER
Aiming, Whooo, good thinking batman, i always woundered what i should be doing with the phaser. wink.gif

Dead Man....I hated it!!!! We need to get more biatches in before we try THAT again!!!

Have to agree with Dave on this one. Jumper Huggers - Lamest of the lame. Yeah, I understand it can get cold but is it really necessary to wear you jumper over your pack as well lol. Seriously, there is not much point having a jumper on that is soooo baggy you could camp in it, people know when they are doing it so there isnt much excuse - either way, they are gonna be covering their packs anyway, the jumper just helps them lol.

Ah, but any "elite" mz player shall we say, wouldn't complain about long sleeves, wud you really expect a public player to take their jumper off in a game if you told them to? i highly doubt it tongue.gif

shouldnt really need to. The marshals should already have told them. I remember they used to tell them to take it off but seems to have changed a bit since the marshaling went down hill at Leicester. Even have to get the members to marshal the tournaments because the staff dont know the rules lol. Nice one Robin, number one zone marshal and you can have bit of a chat with him as well tongue.gif

i will admit robin did a fair job in the arena marshalling the one game at the last allnighter, forget wha game it was... but i know he marshalled it fairly...
Diablos
and where were the staff? Probably at the counter eating chips.....
R4IDER
In fareness Scarecrow Robin can be a fare marshal, but he is one of the main Jumper Huggers who plays at Leicester.

As for jumpers in public games, its when people hug the front of there pack when they are wearing jumpers, which effects the fairness of the game, and whether its public or regulars, regulars should know better. Also to be a little more clearer, jumper huggers are players who are covering or obstructing there front sensors with there arms, while wearing a jumper or with long sleved clothing.

Acocks Green don't allow jumpers in games usally, and thats how it should be. Its also fare to say that within groups of advanced players who play each other alot, more respect is given for not using a jumper to cheat, just like dead spamming or sensor covering. When it comes to dead spamming, advaned players have less respect of someone who does it all the time, and the same is said for people who wear jumpers and Jumper Hug within the game, specially if they have been playing long enough to know better.

Its true to say that alot of the older zone generation players who were top in there day for making large amounts of score, were also heavy pack coverers or jumper huggers along with other habbits, making it very hard in some cases for you to tag them fairly before they tagged you. If zone didn't want people to be tagged on the front sensors, they would not have designed the packs with front sensors.

I just speaking my thoughts, im not trying to shout any one down, or deny any one there chance to comment.
Diablos
Nah, Dave, I have to completely agree with you on that one mate. Most of the older members used methods of (what we would call today cheating) fould play to win. All the old school members carry some of the habbit of having to bend the rules of play to get a good score wich is why, when they still play like it today, they are some of the best players.

Although, just some advise to some of the younger members, dont start cheating because you will find it harder and harder to win fairly. Those that have to cheat to get a good score are only making up for the score they cant get fairly.

I used to be a huge pack coverer and I went through the phase of having to play with my elbows pointing down on the pack front, making it impossible to shoot me there. Because of that I have found it very difficult to play again, espically when you take some time out, its even harder to go back....Although, I have never had to use a jumper or long sleeved shirt to win. Thats on the same level as those that shoot one handed using a sweat band or somehing.

Cooooooo ta R@ider

LMAO..you and Diablos DO have a point though...jumperhugging is an old-skool technique. Not sure I woild class as one though as my jumpers aren't THAT baggy....and as you should well know....as and when tournaments arise..I tend to favour the Official 'Scarecrow Tourney{tm}' t-shirt
R4IDER
Dude, dude, dude, its yours arms within your jumper, hugging the front of your pack, while your in the game, which has granted you the title of Jumper Hugger. wink.gif
