The M.Z.U.K.C @ MEGAZONE-UK.COM
-- ( News update ) -- 23-01-2006
=========================================
Well its a brand new year, and many changes have taken place
since the last news update on the old M.Z.U.K.C website, located
at Megazoneleicester.8k.com. To start with, we have a new domain
name WWW.MEGAZONE-UK.COM, and secondly we have a new webspace
provider as well. We finally got a great Invision Power Board
forum after five years, which sits up there with Zonegods.com
& Darkzone-Wa.com, and is much more easier to use than a
Ezboard.com rental.

This website is The Megazone United
Kingdom Community's website - M.Z.U.K.C, and we are here mainly
for zone players from the United Kingdom, both new & old.
We welcome zone players from across the globe, from other Zone-Empire
brands, such as Darkzone, Ultrazone & Zone 3. You don't
have to play the game to visit the website, or post in the forum,
so all vistors feel welcome.
We have lost some content since
the move, mainly because it was out of date, or because it needs
to be molded in with the new design. Hopefully we will build
it up again over the next year.
Since the last new update, there
have been some zone laser tag arena closures in the UK, Yeovil
surprisingly being one site that has been sold & converted
in to a Laser Quest arena, but the good news is we have had
some new zone laser tag sites open as well, such as the arena's
in Crawley, Leeds, Northampton, Wellingborough & Wirral.
Acocks Green Megazone located
within Birmingham thankfully still has there System Z's, and
in the last couple of months have set there packs to two teams
instead of three, while making some reception area modifications.
Morecombe is still running strong with there Version 4's, and
still has a good reputation for being a good arena and having
well maintained packs & system.
The 2005 Australian Nationals
was held at the Rockhampton Fun Zone at the end of last August,
which was largest turnout of players from across Australia for
the year.

Nearly a hundred-fifty people
travelled to the week packed nationals, with a turn out of twenty,
six person teams for the Team Tournament, and nearly a hundred
people taking part in the Solo Tournament. Within the week there
was also a Women's Solo Tournament, a Masters Solo Tournament
for the over 30's, a Doubles Tournament & a few other tournament
types as well, making the event possibly the biggest zone event
in the world for 2005. I can say from first hand experience
that the event was the best place to be for any zone player
who wants to take on the best of the best, or just wanting to
enter a properly organised zone nationals which does the zone
laser tag sport proud.

Until the next monthly news update,
keep zone tagging!
